Meet MARIELLE BURT!!!

September’s Student- Of- The- Month!!!

Marielle Burt has been a student at Main Stage Studios for about a year and a half. She is senior at East Aurora High School. Marielle is a motivated and talented young singer and often performs at her school and in the community.

Marielle loves listening to all types of music. If she had to choose her favorite genre though it would be music from the 50’s, big band music, swing, folk or classical. Her favorite performing moments include singing with all county and area all state choirs. Marielle has also performed in multiple talent shows and been in productions of Into the Woods, 42nd Street and Beauty and the Beast. Marielle spent last summer singing and touring with the Sound of America Honors Choir and sang at the Basilica San Marco in Venice and Notre Dame in Paris.

When asked who has been the most inspirational person in her musical life she names many people that have inspired her including her family, Mr. Blackwell, Miss Nanna (Both East Aurora music teachers), Edith Piaf, Ennio Marconni and her voice teacher at Main Stage Studios, Leah Wietig.
Marielle  enjoys spending her free time dancing, listening to music, playing violin or piano and watching musicals and classic movies.
Marielle gave some advice to future music students, “Be prepared to work at your music, find a teacher you are motivated by and work well with and enjoy.” This surely sounds like a recipe for success!

Marielle hopes to major in vocal performance and music education during her college career. Her hopes and dreams include singing all over the world! We wish Marielle the best of luck as she embarks on her college auditions this year!
