Collin McCrea is a recent Vocal Performance graduate from SUNY Fredonia and has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Utah Vocal Arts Academy, Buffalo Opera Unlimited and Western New York Chamber Orchestra. His prominent roles have included Jean Valjean in scenes from Les Misérables, Monostatos in The Magic Flute, and Tom Rakewell in scenes from The Rake’s Progress. His love for art song, jazz and musical theater drive him to continue performing recitals and currently has a recital series with SUNY Fredonia’s piano professor, Dr. Lagrimas. Collin’s independent study in directing and Assistant Director position in the BPO’s Carmen has encouraged him to pursue directing as well, directing a world premier at SUNY Fredonia March 2020. He is also currently teaching at two private studios in Buffalo and is part of the Westminster Presbyterian Church Choir. He has a strong passion for teaching and wants to help students unlock the potential of their voice through health and positivity.
